Who Doesn’t Love Cookie Dough?


Is that even a question? We all love it and eat it even though we know it’s bad for us… or is that just me? *nervous laughs* Either way, the tables turned when Nikki Azzara, founder of P.S. snacks, created healthy cookie dough in her dorm room back in 2013.

Yes, you heard me right. Healthy. Cookie. Dough. Her chocolate chip chickpea-based cookie dough was her first product to hit the shelves, with the following of peanut butter and fudge brownie flavors. Are you drooling yet?

The key benefit of this cookie dough is the clean label, and that they use an unconventional ingredient (chickpeas) to make a typical treat/dessert much more nutritious. Other health benefits include: plant-based protein, fiber, healthy fats & antioxidants. The cookie dough is gluten/grain/flour free, soy free, dairy free (vegan), egg free and does not contain gums, refined sugars or artificial ingredients. It sounds too good to be true, but it’s not.

What you need:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tablespoons P.S. Snacks Fudge Brownie Cookie Dough
  • 2 teaspoons chia or flax seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cacao nibs
  • 2 tablespoons goji berries
  • 2 tablespoons One Degree Organics Sprouted Oat Granola
  • handful of Dang Cacao Coconut Chips

What you need to do:

Combine the frozen banana, Cookie Dough and chia/flax seeds in a food processor until creamy (optional: add some liquid to help with the blending). Pour into a bowl and top with the superfood toppings. Makes 1 bowl.
